I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
